Looking for a gentle but effective peel?
Here is our solution: Belweder’s mandelic acid serum.
How does it work?
Mandelic acid is a high-molecular-weight alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from bitter almond. What sets it apart from other AHAs? Its large molecules, which diffuse over a longer period and allow sensitive skin to enjoy its benefits without being irritated. An iron fist in a velvet glove! Extremely effective, yet very gentle, far more so than glycolic acid, for example.
Who Is It For?
Once used only by professionals, for peels for example, it is now also found in mass-market cosmetic products and is suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive skin or deeper skin tones, with no risk of depigmentation or hyperpigmentation.
It is a complete treatment with 2 key actions:
1. A keratolytic action:
- evenly removes dead cells from the upper layers of the epidermis, making it thinner (which is typical of young skin)
- stimulates cell renewal
- stimulates the skin’s own production of hyaluronic acid
- gently activates collagen production – the skin’s “spring mattress”, which means it helps prevent sagging
- evens out the skin’s texture and reduces the number or severity of wrinkles and fine lines
- improves skin tone and evens out the complexion
- cleanses and visibly tightens the pores of the skin.
2. An antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action:
- mandelic acid has a marked anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effect compared with other alpha-hydroxy acids;
- inhibits the growth of bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus proteus, Escherichia coli and Aerobacter aerogenes;
- helps clear the skin of spots and prevents new inflammatory lesions from appearing;
- removes oily shine
In summary: The Belweder Balancing Serum with Mandelic Acid: designed for all skin types, young and mature alike, it corrects skin irregularities. Why is it so effective? Because it is extremely well dosed: mandelic acid at 10%. Easy to use, it is fully absorbed in a few seconds.
