Data controller
The controller of the personal data collected on the belweder.com website is Maria Dagiel, on behalf of Belweder France, 38 Rue de Dantzig, 75015 Paris. For any question about your data or to exercise your rights: [email protected].
Data collected and purposes
We only collect the data needed for the services you use:
- Customer account and orders — identity, contact details, delivery and billing addresses, purchase history: management of orders, delivery, invoicing and after-sales service (performance of the contract).
- Payment — bank details are collected and processed directly by our secure payment providers (Stripe and Systempay); we never have access to them.
- Customer service — information sent via the contact form or by email, so that we can respond to your requests (legitimate interest).
- Newsletter — email address, with your consent, which you can withdraw via the unsubscribe link included in every mailing.
- Customer reviews — display name and content of the review you post on a product page.
Loyalty programme
When you create a customer account, you are automatically enrolled in our loyalty programme. In this context, we process: your surname, first name and account email address, the amount and status of your orders (points calculation: €1 spent = 1 point, excluding delivery charges and discounts), your points balance and the history of its movements (points earned, welcome bonus, verified review bonus, redemptions, deductions in the event of cancellation or refund), as well as the vouchers generated when you redeem points — issued in your name, linked to your email address, single-use and valid for 180 days.
This processing is based on the performance of the contract between us under the programme. Your points are kept for the lifetime of your account; deleting the account permanently deletes the balance and history. You can check your balance at any time in the “My loyalty points” tab of your account.
Wishlist and email reminders
You can save products to a wishlist. If you are not logged in, this list is stored only in your browser via a functional cookie (see the Cookies section) for 180 days. If you are logged in, it is saved with your account; any list created before logging in is automatically merged into it. If you choose to share your list, a unique link is generated at your request: anyone with this link can view the contents of your list and your first name. You can stop sharing by asking for the link to be reset.
If you are a customer and products remain in your list without being ordered, we may send you a reminder email featuring these products. This email, limited to one reminder per series of additions and reserved for customers with an account, is based on our legitimate interest in offering you products similar to those you have chosen. Each email contains a one-click unsubscribe link: your choice takes effect immediately and permanently. Unsubscribing does not affect the emails needed to follow up on your orders.
Cookies
The website uses three categories of cookies:
- Strictly necessary cookies — basket, login session, security: essential for the shop to work, exempt from consent.
- bw_wishlist — functional cookie that keeps your wishlist when you are not logged in. Duration: 180 days. Exempt from consent (strictly necessary for the service requested).
- Audience measurement — Google Analytics, via Google Tag Manager, subject to the consent you give through the cookie banner: pages viewed, interactions (adding to basket or to the wishlist), source of the visit. You can withdraw this consent at any time via the same banner.
Data recipients
Your data is intended for Belweder France and, solely for the operations that concern them, for our service providers: the website host Hostinger International Limited (Larnaca, Cyprus, European Union), secure payment providers, carriers for the delivery of your orders (Mondial Relay, Colissimo, Chronopost) and our email delivery tool. No data is sold or rented to third parties.
Retention periods
Your account data is kept for as long as the account exists, then deleted or anonymised when it is closed, subject to legal obligations (invoices are kept for 10 years to meet accounting requirements). Marketing data (newsletter, reminders) is kept for a maximum of 3 years after your last active contact, and deleted without delay if you unsubscribe.
Your rights and complaints
In accordance with the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés), you have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, the right to restrict and object to processing, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time for any processing that depends on it. You can also give instructions on what should happen to your data after your death.
To exercise these rights, write to [email protected] stating the subject of your request; you will receive a reply within one month. Proof of identity may be requested in the event of reasonable doubt. If, after contacting us, you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL — 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, or at www.cnil.fr.
